I have today deleted some 5,000 (yes five thousand !) memberships from our forum database. These were all designated members who had not been "seen" by the forum since December 2006.

I appreciate a large number of members join the forum and never post - this cull will not have affected those members unless they haven't logged in to their account since December 2006 !

This leaves the total number of what I would call "active" registered members at about the 7,500 mark or thereabouts.

I'll be continuing to do some housekeeping on the forum over the summer.

When I was chosing a new "username" (as a plattynum member biggrin.gif ) I tried a few amusing ones, found they were all taken, and so plumped for the crap one I now have. If you've deleted 5,000 of the 12,500 members then I guess there's a chance that this frees up a large number of decent names - obviously posting a list of all the names would probably be too long, but there must be some good ones that have now become "free". Hmm...

But where would the Platinum Club members' feeling of self-importance come from if they were the norm?

Anyone with less than 10000 posts probably! wink.gif
