I see wee Aiden's moaning to his mammy about the possibility of a season extension being granted should Rangers reach the Uefa cup final. There seems to be a queue formed at the front of sellik park of players quoting the same soundbite, week in, week out. Caldwell, Hartley, McManus and now wee Ladybhoy.

Peope go on about how good it is for Scottish Football, the co-efficient and all that stuff, but these don't seem to concern sellik, as they see their only opportunity to win the league is a tired and injury-ridden Rangers squad dropping points.

Now, I have previously stated that I'd prefer Rangers to win the league within the confines of the season as it exists, with a proviso put in place for extensions should they be needed in the future. I stand by that, and I hope we can do it. I have to say though, that I have my doubts. But there you go. It's still a successful season, win the league or not.

My reasoning is simple. If Rangers win the league, Timmy will moan that they lost the league because of the great Hun conspiracy orchestrated by Gordon Smith, the masons...etc....etc and availus all as to how unfair it was on their poor wee downtrodden club.

Rangers will therefore not get the credit they deserve for winning the league as Timmy lists a myriad of excuses for their own inadequacies.

This is the second time to my recollection that Scotland's Shame have canceled their table at the POTY awards dinner, and coincidentally, the last time as far as I can remember, was when Shawn Maloney won the double of POTY, and Young POTY!

And now they have canceled again with Aiden McGeady winning both awards.

Don't see why McGeady is moaning. He makes a healthy living out of playing football. Celtic only have a few more league matches to play, No real hardship. It's not as if they are still in Europe, Any cup competitions and Rangers have won the league all bar the shouting.

He will also get plenty of recovery time due to Ireland's fate being the same as all the British countries failure to qualify for Euro 2008.

Where is the text of McGeady's complaint that he is being slated for?

If Rangers beat Celtic on Sunday, an extension I suspect would be academic and then what excuses will the bitter supporters within the ranks of Celtic Football Club have!

Celtic will never have a better chance of beating Rangers than this weekend at Parkhead so if they fail to do so then an extension of this season until Christmas would have possibly have no bearing!
