Heard from a few people that the Dees are looking at him. If the laddie has any ambition then it will be a good move for him. Why would he want to stay at a second rate club that has never won anything?

yea i dont doubt that they are lookin at him but i totally doubt he is gonna leave as long as we offer him a decent contract id say he will stay as he is a true saints fan and is a local boy so is a big fan favouite so i doubt he wud betray us after he has grown up at teh club and go to our rivals.

I see what your saying but if he feels he would get more games at dens he may want a move(not saying it will happen).Scott robertson is local,a dundee fan and a big favourite and rumour has it he is leaving for the arabs.

I'd be disappointed to lose a good young player but as far as next season goes, I don't think it would massively impact us, although I would expect Mooner to make more progression.

Maybe Dundee are just fed up of us talking to all their players (three at least) and are going for one of ours that they can actually afford! shutup.gif

I think he has a better chance of winning something at St Johnstone.
Saintees will have a stronger challenge for the league title next year than Dundee IMO.

I think one Saints fan in particular will be able to tell you all about putting too much emphasis on the previous season! Dundee will have a huge psychological barrier to get over next season, one we failed to mount in the early part of this term.

Thats because your manager didnt know what he was doing.

Hardie, Millar and Craig are signed up for next season.
I would like to see us retain Quinn, Morris and Moon, and would be disappointed to see Moon go unless we sign up Quinn at least.

The rest of the central midfielders are.

Much of our squad has been re-signed,is unlikely to leave anyway or getting shown the door. Rocco and Jody are probably our two biggest worries regarding new contracts. Hopefully the rest who are offered them will sign them soon.

Jody Morris and Rocco Quinn. I think Quinn may stay... Morris I cant see it!! sad.gif

Regarding Moon - I'd be very very surprised if Moon went to Dundee. Can't see that either to be honest - there's more chance of saints winning a scottish cup semi. McInnes has the makings to be a quality manager and is far above this division and I think will get to a higher level than Coyle. Honestly though, if we can get a few other good signings then we should hopefully have a more effective league campaign. Dundee will struggle next year IMO (2nd/3rd probably)

Is Rocco Quinn on loan? I would imagine a few SPL sides will be chasing him in the close season.

He is on loan but he's also out of contract at Celtic in the summer. Bearing in mind there were SPL clubs (Falkirk, St Mirren and one other) after Liam Craig as well, I'm more confident of keeping him that I was a week ago, if indeed McInnes wants to keep him. I genuinely think for attacking players like Craig and Quinn, a side like Saints are just as attractive as some of the strugglers at the foot of the SPL. A guy like Quinn would hate to be in a side that was set up to get men behind the ball and hit on the break.

I was impressed with Craig yesterday, he looks like a decent player would liked to have seen him playing for us.

He signed a three-year deal with us last week. I was amazed as I was basically resigned to him leaving. He can be far more influential than he was yesterday but he did have another decent game.

I'd love to see him more influential Radford, as I thought he was immense for us yesterday.

I guess it's good that, I think, the players are capable of taking their peformance to another level. I thought the same under Coyle though and I don't think he ever quite got everything out them. Hopefully McInnes can next season.

If I could've had a choice between Quinn and Craig, I'd have chosen Craig every time. This does not mean I don't want Quinn, mind you! If he does re-sign, we'll only really need a ballsy type player for the middle of the park and we'll be set for that position.(that's if Morris doesn't sign, naturally)

Me too, I'd rather we kept Quinn than he went to a 1st division club. I wouldnt be too bothered if he chose a bottom 6 spl side.

According to reports Dundee are after some guy called Moon, also some of our top players are "allegedly" leaving at the end of the season.

Of course we are rivals.

Dundee and St.Johnstone are going head to head to fight for the same prize next season. It is infact Dundee United who are not - and haven't been for a while - Dundees rivals. The only place that Dundee and Dundee United are rivals is in the minds of deluded Dundee fans who still believe themselves to be on a par with the club across the road.

Kevin Moon is a Saints fan with a bright future, I don't think he'll sign for Dundee, but Gavin Sw**kie will sign for St.Johnstone. Dundee needed to get promoted this season to keep their best players, but failure to do so will result in an exodus at Dens Park. Not only has the chance of SPL football gone for another season, but that big bonus has gone with it.

Dundee will struggle to recover from the heartache this season and will finish a distant third, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Firstly you say Dundee and St. Johnstone will be rivals fighting for the same prize next season, then you say we will finish a 'distant third!' rolleyes.gif Finishing a distant third is hardly fighting for a prize is it? In that case, we will not be rivals for the same prize, just merely league rivals. rolleyes.gif

As much as I hate to make you look daft, Dundee lost the league on Saturday and it's now Monday so I haven't gone straight anywhere. In addition, this is a thread about a St.Johnstone player as much as it is about Dundee. You'll notice, I avoided the thread about Dundee fans being sore losers. Moon to go? Not sure I would be overly bothered. As has already been pointed out, Dundee are merely pissed over the fact we are luring half of their first team squad to McDiarmid (again). Granted the last time we tried such a venture it was called Dyron Daal, but let's face it, at the time he was considered amongst the majority of Dundee fans as one of your better players. On topic Moon I feel has shown a lot of promise but again i'm not convinced about how far he can go. Obviously I would like to see us keep him but again, I haven't see too much of him that would make me cry in despair ove rhis departure.

Sw**kie, on the other hand, will be a revelation at McDiarmid Park. Plus his name begins with an S and ends with an E, that means only good times for the rhyming clique.

Sw**kie is a Saintee...
