A meaningless game. I see Accies winning though. We're on a great run and Dundee will be deflated. My prediction is 3-1 Accies. Accies always to Waterworth his first start and he'll steal the show with 2 goals.
Will Dundee provide a guard of honour?

I really hope so,
as for the game think Hamilton will probably win it although our players were gutted after yesterday so might still be up for it to beat Hamilton.
it's also probably alot of our players last game for Dundee so hopefully they will want to win
Can't see anything other than Hamilton win, from reaction to yesterday Dundee didn't really put up much of a fight

This might be a good time for Billy Reid to give a few of our other youngsters who are on the fringe of 1st team football a chance to shine, nothing to lose and the expierience they could gain would be benefical to their development.

I would LOVE to see us line-up:
Cerny
Stevenson...Easton...Swailes...Gibson
McCarthy...McArthur...Crawford...Neil...Gilespie
Waterworth
Although I doubt this is the case, I really want to see Crawford and Gilespie get a game for the first team they are supposedly the next big things.

Oh yes I really hope so as well, it would be a great way to end our season, and a great show of the appreciation we have for Accies! Anyone else want ther rectom licked on here? Hmmm.
Seriously I'm assuming this Niz is on the wind up and expecting Dees to bite in some way, well f**k it! No, it's not a wind up, and why would I post in the Second Division forum? Have Thistle been relegated and I just don't know about it.
Quite a few poster on this board either carry out work for clubs or have sources within them. Therefore, there's every possibility that a Dundee fan would know if this was planned.

Niz i doubt Dundee would annonce they are going to do it, if it happens it happens if not i'm sure no Accies fans would lose any sleep.
We gave Celtic one at Parkhead in Bonetti's first season when they had already won the league, i think Accies are much more deserving of one at Dens on Saturday as this title race actually involved us.

If Dundee play with the deflation that they did yesterday Hamilton will gub them!

I hope we play close to our best team. I want one last chance to cheer them onto the park for the final game of this season.
And what's the point of a guard of honour if it's not the team that won the title being applauded onto the park by our promotion rivals?
I'm all for giving one or two fringe players a run, but I want to see Marko, Elebert, Eastie, Neil (if fit), McArthur, McCarthy and Offiong, at least, in the starting eleven. Remember, it's possible one or two of these guys could be making their last appearance for Accies.
And I want to see a decent performance. The result doesn't matter. It may actually matter more to Dundee, in terms of pride. As someone said last night, I think, they won't want to finish ten points behind us.
So I want fair weather, I hope to see a good game, and I want it played in a sporting and happy atmosphere.
I said earlier this week that all the Dundee fans looking to judge the possibilites of winning the league (entirely correct and plausible) also had to recognise that it was possible for us to win this league by 10 points. That is what is am looking for, if it doesn't happen then so be it.

We gave a guard of honour to Falkirk when we were final day guests at their ground on their most recent title win.

On the team selection side of things. I'd assume it'd be Samson, Cowan, Dixon, McDonald, MacKenzie, Malone, Daquin, Robertson, McMenamin, Curier, O'Brien.

I too would like to see the fringe players appear next week, Gibson especially. He's not had a chance of a run in the 1st team this season despite being very talented. It would interesting to see Easton in a role as central defender too.
Crawford is a good player but not anywhere near physical enough or of the right physique yet to appear in the 1st team ~ give him another year or so.
Gillespie is going to be one to watch hopefully. Would like to see him have a run out.

Delighted we're going as Champs and not needing a result. Don't mind if we lose. A 4pt gap would be a fairer reflection on Dundee's season than 10. Think it will end 0-0.
Serious question. Will Alex Rae follow Billy Reid's example and play young players? Saw him quoted in the Record last week that the days of the big buys are past. Lots of local talent in the area when you look at junior football. (e.g. Tayport)

Can't wait for Saturday.
These meaningless end of season games are hard to predict - the result does not matter. I have a feeling we'll take about 500 only, despite the fact that I am really looking forward to going to a game to simply have a party - with absolutely no stress about the result.
Of course I'd rather Accies won the game and hence the league by 10 points, but in actual fact that doesn't really matter either, and would be an unfair reflection on Dundee's season (not that I'd lose sleep over that).
In my memory lots of these games end in 1-1 draws - so that might happen again. I'm just looking forward to periods of cheering, singing and laughing interspersed by sitting back quietly sipping a bovril and munching some unhealthy fare. BLISS!

Nothing on the homepage about lowering prices and the forum is down atm.
I will be there, going to the hospitality so I'll give youz all a wave or I may just stay in the suite for the whole game and get even more drunk!
I dont think the game will be pointless, the team that wins win get 3 points!

I would hope the Dundee players will be determined and will want to win especially as some of the players will be playing their last game for the club and also to prove they are as good as the team that deservedly won the league.

Good, although it will be incredibly hard to see and admit for a lot of our fans, Hamitlon are deserved champions and the players ought to be applauded. I think the vast majority that have posted on this site have admitted that Hamilton are indeed deserved champions already. They have been more consistant over the season and have got 3 points when the pressure was on.
Dont forget though we also had a good season.
