Can anyone recomend one for a 17" screen laptop. I have been looking at a belkin one but i can't find the size of it anywere.

I take it you're finding that your laptop is overheating? Or do you just want it to aid in the cooling process?
Ric
Is it a stand or a cooling stand? I've never heard of the latter.

At work I had a second monitor and I just piled the laptop on top of a couple A4 packs of printer paper to bring the laptop display up the same horizontal level as the monitor.

I also had an USB keyboard and mouse, so it didn't matter the laptop keyboard was at an awkward level.

Ooooh, isn't that posh (and probably not needed).

Well good luck with your search.

The Gray Ghost had one, but mainly because the Gray Ghost got given one and used it as a personal ventilation system (sod the laptop). They rock!

If its not actually over heating, there is really no point in buying one, unless you want to use the stand thing itself.

I agree with Ric and MarreZ, but if you are absolutely determined to get it, it looks like it'll suit any size of laptop, it'll just hang over the edges.

A quick google shows they're available from Play.com

It's very unlikely that overheating is affecting common-or-garden performance. Unless you're having random reboots or graphics errors then a cooling stand's probably going to make naff-all difference.

That said, it looks pretty cool.

Did you buy one?

I meant to reply to this a couple of weeks back - I had overheating issues with an old laptop that were fixed by getting my hands on an air-gun that removed dust etc that was clogging up the (already inadequate) fans inside.

The difference was pretty amazing.
