WHATS SAT FIXTURES APART FROM CREETOWN V SAINTS

Friday 11th April

League

Fleet Star v Mid Annandale - Stuart Clingan
Newton Stewart v Dumfries - Derek Stocks

Saturday 12th April

Tweedie Cup Final

Creetown v St Cuthbert Wanderers - Colin Stitt

League

Annan Athletic v Nithsdale Wanderers - Donald McGuffie
Crichton v Wigtown & Bladnoch - Alan Daubney
Stranraer v Threave Rovers - Derek Stocks

Got this from the SFA website so I could ask the question why the two biggest games of the day have been given to two of the worst officials in the league?!!

Both very poor referees mate, Stocks is hopelessly incompetent. Stitt is on more of a power trip!!

This response will probably trigger a totally new conversation but here are the FACTS anyway - our game was off due to a waterlogged park. Having been in Kilmarnock (where the weather was fine) for the last couple of days I found this surprising - am led to believe by a few sources that there has been a lot of rain in Newton though!

Disappointing to say the least - 3 points would have been handy. With two players dismissed (and hence suspended) on Wednesday and such a long treck on a Friday night for an early kick off I doubt Dumfries would have been too disappointed at this outcome.

WENT ALONG TO CUP FINAL AND ENJOYED A VERY GOOD GAME. CREETOWN WERE WELL WORTHY WINNERS WITH GOOD PERFORMANCES ALL OVER THE PARK. I WAS MOST IMPRESSED WITH THE TWO CENTRE BACKS AND THE GUY WHO SCORED THE THIRD GOAL LOOKS A GOOD PLAYER. PS THE HOSPITALITY WAS EXCELLANT AS WELL, PIES BOVRIL AND SOUP FIRST CLASS SO A GOOD DAY ALL ROUND. PPS THE REFEREE WAS A BIT OF A p***k HE EVEN STARTED THE GAME 5 MINUTES EARLY AND QUITE A FEW PEOPLE MISSED THE FIRST TWO GOALS HE SHOULD HAVE HAD TWO SAINTS PLAYERS OFF FOR BAD FOULS AND DID NOT EVEN BOOK THEM JUST A STERN LECTURE LIKE TWO NAUGHTY SCHOOLKIDS.
