Looking to increase my RAM. At the moment got 2 x 256 MEG sticks in it.

Im not too clued up on RAM, but my mate informs me that I have DDR PC2700. He thinks I might be able to upgrade to PC3200 or similar, but hes not sure.

Anyone got any ideas? Also, wheres the best(cheapest) place to get it?

Cheers

First I'd check your motherboard too see what type of RAM is compatible.
Get the make (of Motherboard) and a quick google search should let you know.

The 2 main sites I use for buying PC components are,

www.ebuyer.com
www.overclockers.co.uk

Hope this helps smile.gif

I'd avoid buying RAM from Ebay if you can avoid it. You don't know what kind of state it'll be in or how it's been handled. Other than the CPU, RAM is one of the more vulnerable parts of a PC to static electricity and as such, need to be kept in anti-static bags. Essentially you could buy that RAM, recieve it and it could be dead... Bad times.

I buy my RAM from the following places:

Ebuyer
Aria
Orca Logic
