One of the nurses that I work beside says her father in law is Willie McCulloch. She says that he used to play for Airdrie in the 70's. She thinks that he was a midfielder, any info ? Cheers

He was Cowden manager for a spell (brief) in 83/84 season.

He started at Camelon in the 60s then went to Alloa and on to Airdrie. Finished his playing career at Berwick. He was a midfield player or defender - what would have been described as a 'tough no-nonsense' player. Was manager of Cowdenbeath and then an Amateur team - possibly Bannockburn - for years. I think that the goalkeeping Willie McCulloch of Airdrie, Stenhousemuir, East Fife and others is his son.
