Dissappointed we didn't take advantage of our second half superiority.

Firstly, the pitch was excellent given recent weather - top job done by the groundstaff.

First half was horrendous - nothing happened apart from a good save from Colin Stewart from a Partick header in the six yard box.

Second half - I was impressed with Proctor's ability to motivate the side at half time - came out and looked far more lively. Also, very stisfied with how much more secure we looked at the back compared to previous Thistle games. Should really have taken one of the three or four good chances we created.

Only moment of controversy, for me, was the handball by the Thistle defender, who stopped a clear goalscoring opportunity. I've seen players sent off for less. His saving grace was, probably, the fact that Dorrans was by no means a certainty to win the ball.

All in all, not a great game, decent second period, probably should have won. Decent Jags support also worth a mention.

Edit: Apologies, just realised this should be on the Cup board. Feel free to move/delete as appropriate.

Poor game , neither team really deserved to win . All our shots on goal seemed to be way over the bar. Maybe some shooting practice is needed. Great Thistle support today best this season at Almondvale . Especialy on such a bad day. Makel was my MOTM .

there's your reason for him not being sent off.

Glad we agree.

you said it was a clear goalscoring opportunity then made a statement that contradicted this.

As i said on the cup forum

Crap game, and I will admit it the home support today was crap, usual bunch in T Section but most of the West Standers didnt turn up, due it not being on the season ticket. Great Partick support probably the biggest support other than Celtic that we've seen at Almondvale for the past two years.

I know not many Livi fans will agree with me but about the only player tha got pass marks in my book was Craig James, I thought he was one of the few players to keep going forwards. McPake was good defending, but his distribution like MacKay's was awful. Makel controlled the midfield alright, and Snoddy and Dorrans were rank. Thought Proctor should have brought on Griffiths far earlier.

Boring game. No team deserved a win.

Livi Crazy - how you can say that Stewart, McCaffery and Makel and possibly even Walker did not get pass marks is beyond me??

Great support the Jags brought today, pity the game was such a damp squib.

Alright Stewart and Makel were alright, but Stewart made one save and Makel was no where near his best. McCaffrey did not have a good game in my opinion, should not have taken Cammy's place, on too many occasions McPake had to recover his mistakes, all of the defence accept James had poor distribution today. I actually forgot about Walker who did have a reasonable game, Steven Craig had a poor game due to Proctor's bad tactical choices today.

Stewart made one save

Two actually. He mad a point-blank save from a Buchanan shot as well as the save from Donnelly's header. If it wasn't for him you would've been two down at the break. He didn't put a foot wrong over the ninety.
