Jock Finlayson has been in charge of Hill of Beath Hawthorn since they entered the junior ranks round 25 years ago. Despite starting with nothing, Jock has amassed countless trophies during his reign, including a famous Scottish Cup triumph in 1990.

He has rebuilt his side many times and I would go as far as saying Jock is the Haws.

As much as i really hate to say it and it chokes me as i type. I'd need to say Willie Knox was the greatest when at THEM. Then he took Cumnock down for the only time in our history....... mad.gif

Jock Finlayson has been a great servant to both Hill of Beath and junior football in the time he has been with them . I would agree that he has rebuilt the team on numerous occasions. I would disagree with a number of points though. To say that he built them from nothing does a great disservice to the hard working committee in the early years, and to the likes of the chairman Davie Baillie and others who have raised the standards of the club to where it is today. Hill of Beath have always had a financial base which only now other Fife teams are catching up with. It would also be fair to acknowledge that the vast majority of Hill of Beath's success has been when they were a big fish in a small pond (Fife league) and in the last 4-5 seasons since the Super league started their success has diminished.

Davie Roy's time at Linlithgow has to be up there. Since he took the reigns in the early 60s the Rose have won 62 (sixty-two!!!) trophies according to Jamie Wire's site http://nonleaguescotland.co.uk/region/east/eastsuper.htm
and including this season's League Cup. He's not a coach as such but he's the boss and the man who made sure the infrastructure was there to encourage success.

I can't disagree with the records of the other nominees though.
