The Saints have signed Greg Cameron on loan from Dundee United until the end of the season.

He will do well for them I have no doubt.
alberto
i thought he was already there?
Super_J
A 19 year old midfielder, does he play left right or centre?

We have midfilders comin out our ears, do we need this guy?

That's no way to speak to your betters. The might of SPL giants Dundee Utd have graciously consented to one of their young superstars plying his trade at McDiarmid park for the next few months. As part of the deal I'd expect the young galacticos to be made skipper.

Centre mid. Played a few of games for Thistle earlier in the season and didn't look anything special.
robosaintee
Never heard of the guy. Has anyone seen him play and can give an opinion!?
dee4life
If he canna get a game in that utd midfield I very much doubt he will be up to much.
The Arch
Wasn't very good for us to be honest. Quite good at keeping possesion but never really stamped authority on any of our games

If St Johnstone are continuing with the 4-3-3 then they're gonna struggle to keep all the midfielders happy. Do St Johnstone fans think Hardie's injurys worse than first thought?

Kyle
Uninspiring. Another bloody loan as well. How many are we actually allowed over the season?
Happy_Gilmore
Cameron is an excellent prospect, he isnt a flashy player but is always on for a pass and never gives away posession. He has added a work ethic to his game which has seen him shut down opponents far quicker than before.

Hopefully he'll get the matches he needs to become a regular for United next season.
palmy_cammy
Part of the Scotland U19's who made the Euro Final I believe?

It's already become clear it is. He was originally meant to be out for a couple of weeks back in September but that dragged on-and-on and he eventually had surgery in early December. He played at Firhill in order to try and collect a yellow card as he's one booking away from a lengthy suspension.

Pretty underwhelmed about Cameron to be honest and will be really disappointed if he plays each week instead of Moon. In saying that, we haven't had a midfielder on the bench recently so he could fill that role. Would rather have seen Bobby Barr given a chance though.

It looks like Millar is staying with Morton until the summer but even then I'm not convinced we need this guy, even if McInnes has given up hope of getting Mensing (which I have no idea if he has).

Average. DU fans seem to like him though.

How are the talks going with Palenik?

That's what I heard was behind the 'fight' in the tunnel I informed you of.

I'll try and have a word with Derek tonight and find out what his plans are. wink.gif

Still haven't heard anything. I take it you haven't either?

Greg Cameron is a nice bloke and a decent midfielder, bit like Paul McHale, if we didn't have Paul I'd have liked Greg at Dens, a very good passer of the ball.

Very good in the Scotland Under 19 side last season.

That's actually slightly more encouraging as we do need a holding player.

Is Sheerin the man most likely to make way for Cameron, then? Has he not been playing the holding role as of late?

Yep, I prefer to call it the quarterback role when Sheerin is in there though! Sheerin doesn't have the defensive attributes to play a proper holding role. Moon is out injured tomorrow apparently so I imagine Cameron will come straight in but not sure how we'll get round the fact Craig and Sheerin are both left-sided.

In answer to your previous post, heard nothing at all about the tunnel incident and he's never appeared on the suspension list.

At the start of the season I thought we were short in midfield, now is seems were overloaded. Especially now we are only playing 3.
Fife Saint
Steady as she goes. I'd have taken Cameron over Mensing any time so i am chuffed although i think some Saints fans have faces like skelped arses over SnM going to the Accies.
robosaintee
A United fan in my work just told me how much he likes this guy. I wasn't really expecting a good player in Rocco Quinn and he was excellent so i shall just hope for the best smile.gif

I'd imagine they see him play more often than you do.

The master of the sideways pass.
