My fiance recently tried to boot up her laptop and it was trying to boot from the Network rather than the HD. I went into the Bios and changed it so that the HD was the Primary start up thingymajig.
However after failing to start up on that it went back to the network attempt.
I think I need a new HD for it as it appears to have given up.

Anyway, Ive opened it up and currently there is

80GB Samsung MP0804H 2.5ins 5400rpm ATA100 8mb buffer laptop drive

Anyone got any recommendadtions for a replacement that would be any good?

Im fine with PC stuff but rarely touch laptops, so any info would be appreciated.

Hmm... What sort of budget do you have? Ebuyer will probably be about your best bet

Ill probably go for this one. Its cheap and decent storage for what my fiance needs it for.
I was going to get a dearer one, but its an old laptop now (4 years old maybe) so theres no point.

Good choice, excellent value for money and reliability from the Seagate name.
