Fair point. Hopefully neither of them will be, but to avoid Championship football Gordon will probably need to move at the end of the season. Although having looked at the current table I'd say the Brummies will need to get their arses in gear if Faddy is to avoid a similar fate.

i imagine gordon will have a relegation clause in his contract, was the actual transfer from hearts not really closer to 7 million but with add-ons.
and i could easilly see villa or spurs picking him up if/when sunderland go down.

Who'd be the better side? Spurs seem to have a decent backup, but would Gordon be able to displace Villa's current first choice (is this Stuart Taylor btw?

So it is

Gordon could become No.1 either way, but it's possible that he wouldn't get a game ahead of an English international keeper, no matter how shite they are playing.

According to the Sky Sports article, they've agreed a fee, I couldn't see anything about agreeing terms or whatever.

It's at times like this that I remind myself of all the quotes from people on here when players sign for the Old Firm. They go something along the lines of...'Championship in two years', 'He'll be on the bench and then off to Derby or Tranmere in the Championship in a couple of years', etc.
Did James McFadden and Craig Gordon ever sign for Celtic or Rangers?

Carson is only on loan and will return to liverpool at the end of the season.
He is better than sorenson who is probably moving anyway and is much better than stuart taylor.

I wonder if Gaz O'Connor will get a game? McLeish seems to favour him but I don't know if I'd put him in my side ahead of McSheffrey, King James, Kapo, Jerome..

Jerome is pretty pish and Kapo is more of an attacking midfielder.
Plus gaz scored against arsenal at wembly. Hope he goes with an all scottish attack, not sure if mcsheffrey can play for scotland

it's not really a bad career move as he'll be going from not playing premierleague football every week to playing premierleague football every week.

derby, fulham, bolton, middlesborough and sunderland have all got much greater problems in that regard.

He has played more for Everton this season and I wish Everton would have kept him but he was never going to be a first pick so can see why both parties agreed. Good money to get for him too.
