There were a few pit sides in the Fife Juniors in the past, in fact Comrie Colliery were still playing in the 80s. There was also Nairn Thistle, a factory team from Kirkcaldy.

Further afield, I remember RAF Kinloss, not sure if they are still going. Are there more examples of works teams in the juniors?

Have the polis ever fielded a side? Or a university team?

Didn't Comrie only rename themselves as Steelend Vics?

Hall Russell United and Lewis United were both originally Aberdeen works teams.

RAF Lossiemouth are still going, but Kinloss left the Juniors 18 months ago.

Stoneywood Works became F.C. Stoneywood in the late seventies.

Not that I know of in the juniors but when Cowden reserves played in the East of Scotland League in the late 60s early 70s Edinburgh City Police had a side in that league.

Lewis United from Aberdeen were the 'works team' for long defunct Lewis's Engineering and Shipbuilding company.
gogsy
Burntisland Shipyard had a team in the junior league just after WW1
ardeerjoe
I believe Ardeer Recreation, who were an amateur side in the Ayrshire Juniors till the early 60s, were a works team representing ICI Ardeer.

Luncarty Juniors are still going, they were formed by workers from the local bleach works factory.

And that explains the nickname of the Bleachers!
