Sad to see big Temps go.He never was given a fair crack of the whip under McInally. He used to cause mayhem in a defence if the ball was played to his feet and if he played in a team with a strong supporting midfield then his holding and lay-offs could be used to devastating effect.Unfortunately though we have a fud of a manager who only saw him as a target for long high balls which is the weakest part of his game without doubt as he cant jump and has no pace to chase a slack ball.
I hear East Fife play some decent football so hopefully hes going to a team that suits his style.
All the best bigman...i just hope you dont come back to haunt us.

I've made my opinions known about that already but this is one question no one has yet answered. Explain how he's not had a fair crack of the whip, as you put it.

I really don't think you can. rolleyes.gif

Always thought he was a decent player especially, as you say, when the ball was played to his feet. He caused mayhem against a premier league Dundee side (not always difficult I know wink.gif) a few years ago when they beat us 4-1 pre-season.

er.........long balls to chase when he has no pace...........high balls when he cant jump.its equivelent of sticking jaye shields in goal,or in other words playing tactics that dont suit a teams strengths.

Ach away... Paul McGowan, Iain Russell, Peter Weatherson and Brian Graham have all done at least as good a job as him, and they had to cope with shit tactics too.

He had many chances. He was never dropped in his first season with us despite being, quite frankly, terrible. In his second season he improved, but not enough, so was dropped, so took the huff and left on loan. Then he came back, and aye, he had a great season. But now we've gone up a level, and it's pretty clear that he can't handle the First Division.

An example of a player never getting a chance is Bobby Linn - we signed him, then he never got in the starting 11 for more than 2 consecutive games. Templeman had plenty of chances. It's the right move for Morton and for Templeman.
