have read that dundee had no back up keeper or danny griffen if any in the 2-0 match at ndp.
griffen came on for an outfield player and accies took up the matter with the sfl, which was thrown out.
i find accies have been very petty here and i am dissappointed, unless you do really need to name a goalie sub.

It wasn't thrown out. Dundee were warned over it, albeit no punitive action was actually taken. The same with other clubs that have done the same this year.

The rules say you do have to nominate a sub keeper or else be short on the bench and a nominated sub keeper can only come on to play in goals (though technically once on you can move the players around as suits you as long as the referee is notified and it's done whilst the ball is out of play).

When we played Queen of the South earlier in the season down at Palmerston, Lee Robinson was injured so we had no sub keeper. We nominated an outfield player, Dean Keenan, as our sub keeper, but he came on as an outfield sub in the second half blink.gif

I guess you've read the Dundee Courier report where that was mentioned. What you may not have read is the comment from our club rep on AcciesWorld that no such complaint was made by Accies.

I assume the SFL worked it out for themselves and reacted accordingly.

I'm sure Griffin was the sub keeper vs Celtic as well, and he came on for an outfield player.

if sfl are going to make rules and not follow through with any kind of punishment, then maybe they should look at this rule again.

Not quite a retraction by the Courier, but point made, I guess.
