Accies star man Offiong is desperate to join the dees in a deal that would see a nominal fee changing hands between the two first division pace setters. According to the player its been a life long dream to wear the dark blue shirt and play in the new theatre of dreams...dens park! This transfer news shall surley shock Accies fans...everywhere-well in hamilton- but they will surley agree this is to be a step in he right direction for a player with ambition.

That's worse than the one that Dundee-Derry-Boys made up about him going to Dundee Utd earlier on.

1) this is about Offiong joining Dundee.
2) just because the rumour you started is gathering pace doesn't mean it's got any chance of coming true
3) Offiong is going nowhere.
happy to help.

Also unlike Lyle, Offiong is actually contracted up at Accies until the end of next season so any cheap and easy transfer to any club is out the window. In saying that there are a growing number of Accies fans who wouldn't be too gutted to see Offiong sold, assuming we get a decent price for him.

It's not a hard concept to grasp, the thread is about Offiong moving to Dundee. I have merely stated that there is a rumour regarding him going to Dundee UNITED and not Dundee. Said rumour was tkane from a Dundee United fan board a week ago so I thought I'd share.
We have a chance because we have more money than St Mirren and players to bargain with!
If the rumour is to be true you understand, Levein has been casting his net down south recently.

Well having watched Accies in their last 4 games (because the Juniors have been frozen or washed out) and therefore speaking as a neutral, Offiong is the forward version of Bobo Balde.
If you want a battering ram who can run at 100mph then he is your man, otherwise his first touch is abysmal at times.
Accies should take the money and run all the way to the bank if they get the chance

How much would Accies want in terms of a transfer fee?

I would imagine it would have to be over £200,000 before we would part with him at this stage.
Even then I doubt we would sell as his value won't go down between now and then.

So how much "serious money" did they offer for Offiong then? Or is it a big secret?
Your right tho, Dundee could learn a thing or two from a team like Hamilton on the financial side of things. Hamilton must be rolling in it if they can afford to turn down a "serious money" bid from St Mirren. One of football's success stories, Hamilton Accies, other teams should take note. Seriously.

To salvage this thread, I wonder if there is some truth in the Offiong to United rumour? Watching United tonight, they played a system that would very much suit Offiong and on the evidence of that showing from the Arabs, Offiong would easily step into their side ahead of Robertson.
