Was going to head along to watch them on Saturday but the game was off.
Think I might start taking a wee interest in them as they are not too far from where some of my family stay.
Do they have an official website. Tried googling but have drawn a blank.

I'm unaware of any website.

Lived about 20 minutes walk away from their ground when I went to uni in Edinburgh and covered some of their games for the Evening News.
Ground is alright - has seats which is more than most I went to. You're just as well leaning on a barrier around the pitch though as the stand is actually set quite far away from the pitch. It's probably about the same distance as most senior grounds but it's far more noticeable there.
Pies are alright, nothing special. Was a few years ago I had one though.
If you're wanting to watch some football while in Edinburgh it's your best bet (and only junior one). Obviously the standard is nothing special. There are senior East of Scotland league teams in the city as well - only one I went to see was Edinburgh City, which was at Meadowbank. Sounded like an exciting prospect but the game was stop start as it took about 30 seconds for players to retrieve the ball after running across the track or long jump pit

Edinburgh do and don't have a website. It's under the youth team Pentland Panthers who have been adopted by Edinburgh United. Keep to the juniors, you don't want to watch that mickey mouse league, East of Scotland mince.

To add to the 'what football can you see in Edinburgh' bit, to summarise pretty succintly really:
SENIOR TEAMS (EAST OF SCOTLAND LEAGUE, PREMIER DIVISION):
- Craigroyston & Spartans both play in the North of the City, near/on the Ferry Road, and in both cases currently are again, just pitches. Spartans are building a new stadium nearby, which should be ready for 2009, and it will feature floodlights and a 500 seat covered stand.
- Edinburgh City play closest to the city centre, at Meadowbank Stadium (ex league ground, as was City Park home of Spartans btw) quite near Easter Road, and Meadowbank has a seated capacity of about 16,000 including a covered stand of 7,000+. Also has lights and decent amenities, scoreboard etc. Is an athletics stadium, so as stated a gap between stand and pitch.
- Lothian Thistle play at Saughton Enclosure, near Saughton Prison in the west of the city (and not that far from Tynecastle or Murrayfield all told). It is also an athletics stadium, and has floodlights, however its really a public amenity not a spectator venue, so no stand or cover.
- Edinburgh University play at Peffermill Sports Centre, in the south-east of the city. They use a different pitch to usual sometimes, but mostly an unlit pitch which doesn't have stands/cover.
SENIOR TEAMS (EAST OF SCOTLAND LEAGUE, FIRST DIVISION):
- Civil Service Strollers & Edinburgh Athletic have adjacent pitches at Muirhouse, in the extreme NW of the city. Both are simply playing fields with nothing for the supporter really.
- Tynecastle, who were formely Tollcross, play at a venue near the new Royal Infirmary (and not that far from Edinburgh University). Again, nothing here by way of stands or facilities IIRC.
JUNIOR TEAM (EAST REGION SJFA, LOTHIANS DIVISON):
- Edinburgh United play at Paties Road. I have never been to Paties Road, however I'm told is has (as has been stated by other posters) a neat stand set back from the field of play a bit.
Visit Jamie Wire's excellent site: nonleaguescotland.co.uk (no www) for excellent resources.
I play for edinburgh united and the standard is ok, its better than east of scotland easy !
Paties road is ok in summer but in winter when wind picks up very cold. Game on sat at paties vs dalkeith should be good game.

They dont have many fans at all, so I'm, sure they'll appreciate the support.

Playing Haddington (weather permitting) at Millfield this Saturday. Pop along and join the throng!

Don't they play in an oscure location out on the bypass somewhere? Also, Utd are a new club with no tradition of support stretching back generations.
But good luck to them anyway.
