That is a great own goal. If anyone could post it, it's well worth seeing. The reaction of the ball boy behind the goal is comedy genius.

Maybe not the worst miss but a classic nevertheless has to be the short penalty mix up by two of Arsenals french contingent when the penalty taker tapped the ball to the side and his team mate forgot to make the run from behind.

Eh.

Are you talking about
This?
If so, Henry didn't forget to make the run, Pires mucked up the pass to the side.

The best bit about that was the choice words given to Pires afterwards by a Man city player. Something along the lines of "GIRUY ya cocky french twat!

Agree - that was brilliant, I absolutely wet myself. First time I've ever smiled at an Airdrie goal.

Its 4 mins into
this compilation. Poor fella I bet he wished a large hole appeared at that moment.
Ah, thanks folks, I've seen that goal a few times (the Holmes one) but never knew who it was. It's good.
Lee Dixon's chip is in there too, I see. It was all the more impressive for being in the first minute of the first game of the season.
Surprised van Vossen or Darcheville weren't in it.

The best part of that is Danny Mills going mental at Pires for attempting it

Moose, many thanks for that clip, it is absolutely superb.
Is the Falkirk one in '88 when he does really well to stop it then blasts it into his own net?
It's on a video I had 1988 goals of the season or something.
Total classic.

D.A.F.C, Aye it's from 1988/89 (or That Championship Season as I like to call it). The whole season was a blast (apart from 4-0 at Brokenville!). Holmes should be a legend!
