I personally would like just a striker to partner Russell upfront as weatherson just cannot score these days and you have the likes of templeman and graham who i do not think are good enough for this division.
Weatherson could be moved to right back where he was playing last season which means that shields drops out.

Comfirmation that we have made moves to sign Allan Jenkins and Colin McMenamin

Greenock Telegraph

Can any Livi fans give opinions on how he's played for you on loan? I notice that he hasn't started too many games recently, and hasn't been all the prolific, although he scored in the rout against us. Seems too similar in style to Iain Russell and would be, IMO, a bit of a waste of time signing.

He scored against us but was generally anonymous and disinterested. His goal came from a set piece when he screwed a header into the ground and it bounced up and over Alan Main. Said the same the to Dundee fans, he scored so many goals for Gretna because Gretna were head-and-shoulders above the other sides for the first half of last season. When Gretna started struggling and we beat them at Perth - the day they had Barrau on the bench and Mileson didn't know who he was - he only scored another couple of goals from open play.

The McMenamin at Livi has been far more like the guy that struggled on loan at Falkirk in this league.

Jenkins will do well for you though IMO!

You see those are my opinions to be honest, but when I made my point over of our messageboard I was told I must be wrong as he scored so many last season rolleyes.gif Whenever I've seen him play, which I'll admit isn't too often, he's looked pretty anonymous and we already have Peter Weatherson to fill the canny-be-botherd striker position. In my opinion we need a big strong player to play alongside Iain Russell, who has the potential to be banging the goals in if he had some proper supply from the midfield. Kenny Deuchar would be the ideal candidate, and you'll know plenty about when he can bring to the team.

I doubt it. Just the usual people on the Ton site who like to make out that they know everything that happens behind the scenes. Same people all the time, wrong 9 times out of 10. Nothing from Morton suggests they've signed. When it was in the Telegraph, it was simply stating that we were allowed by Gretna to speak to the player, nothing more.
