Just tried to watch Sky, and message coming up saying No Signal. Tried all the switch off/switch on tricks, but still nothing.
Anyone else having problems? I can only presume its storm damage, but hoping its not just mine!

Mine is fine and I stay near Ayr - maybe the wind knocked it out a bit?
Did you wait 5 or so minutes when you turned on and off again?
Waited about a minute, usually thats enough tho!
Im on the phone to tech helpdesk at the moment, should be fun! I take it they will charge to fix it?

I think they charge if an engineer has to come out but the cost of your phone call may be a bit much.
Last time this happened to me I found good info on the sky website about what to do.
Ended up turning off then on again (their last suggestion) was the thing to do.

http://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/sk...0f-d7d97acaca2dUse the "ask Sky" or "sky help" feature on the right - thats how i solved my last issue
Just off the phone to Sky Technical Support, and all credit to them, the girl could not have been any nicer! She even managed to solve the problem!
For anyone else having the same problems, heres what to do:
Go to Services menu. Press 4 0 1 Select, then option 2, then press Red Button to reset settings.
Bobs, Uncles, Fannies, Grannys, etc, etc
Thanks for all the help Stuart.

the high winds probably knocked your satalitte millimeters out of position so you lose your signal, Sky would charge you £60 to get someone to come out & look at it if it happens again

A few mm won't make much difference - that's why you're able to get from 28.2 and 28.5 at the same time.

Broadband comes through the modem, not through the satellite dish.

Wee note for those of you like myself who don't have the Sky Sports or the Sky Movies channels,
From now until the 24th January, Sky are showing the Sky Sports and Sky Movies channels for free!
Clyde vs Dundee United tomorrow, then Sunderland vs Portsmouth the next day, will do nicely!
