I've moved house recently and found a whole stack of old mini discs (I loved them ). Anyway, is there anyway I can transfer these to my computer and convert them to mp3's so they're playable on my ipod?
I've discovered some crackers which i'd really like to keep.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers in advance!

I would be interested in this too, I loved my minidisc player.

When I did this I hooked the MiniDisc player up to the audio socket on the computer and recorded stuff using the Windows Movie Maker (or something) narration tool. Got an MP3 splitter to tidy things up once it was recorded. Sound quality wasn't an issue as most of it was stuff broadcast live from a tent in a field and taped off the radio before being put onto MD, but it worked ok. Anyone looking for perfect audio quality may wish to wait for an alternative suggestion.
My MiniDisc player still ranks in one of the top five things I've ever paid money for. How I miss thee.

There seems to be an optical cable thing on my macbook, so I might be able to do something with that for my minidisc player.

Most MD's came with an optical cable around the time I was buying them, so that kind of thing is probably your best bet.
Haud on... macbook?
