Just bought my LAN adapter as I don't have wireless but I'm having no joy with this. Have the ethernet cable in my cable modem( NTL purple thingy! ) And then the other end in the Lan adapter which is connected to the wii via the USB. As far as I can tell all cables are correctly installed but i keep getting an error message saying nothing is found.

Any suggestions?

Having researched this a little tonight, if im using the LAN adapter my PC won't connect to the internet..Is this correct?

You should have just bought a wireless router mate.

I don't really know how any of it works tbh

Cable modem plugs into router, should just run pretty easy then, i never have used cable though, but you can probably get wireless cable routers and do away with the modem.
