PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3. The Xbox is a noisy horse of a console. Always breaking down. Plus, if you get the Xbox, i'm guessing that you won't get the warranty with it, so if it breaks, your fucked.

The PS3 has much more potential aswell.

Xbox 360.
I played the PS3 the other night and it was really bad.

Ignore him, the 360 comes with a three year warranty for the ROD failure and has a much bigger selection of games smile.gif

As for being noisy it isn't that bad, unless you plan on leaving the xbox on overnight while you are asleep!!!

Get a 360 and have some fun now rather than the PS3 which might become fun in the future rolleyes.gif

If you are buying a 360, dont buy a second hand one, as lots of people get them repaired, then sell them second hand as they tend to break and keep on breaking.

If you are planning on going online, factor in that the wifi adaptor if needed is £60, and live is another £40, so your £200 quickly becomes £300, you do get a better service, but this year will be the year of the ps3, with such things as home, MGS4, GT5 Prologue and others to look forward to.

If you want to watch hi-def movies, then go for the ps3, as it has blu-ray built in, with warner going blu-ray, the hd war is all at but an end.

If you just want to play games, then consider the 360 as it has a great back catalogue, do not use the cooler if you buy that second hand one, as they only tend to break 360's rather than keeping them alive, the very fact the guy is selling one would lead me to be suspicous. Although you have the 3 year warranty, its still a major pain in the arse if they do break.

If I had to buy a console right now, id buy the ps3, 360 has the benefit though of being able to flash it to play backup games.

Pound for pound, its the better deal if you use wifi/online/blu-ray. If you just game offline the 360 is the better deal.

PS3 is free for playing online while the 360 is £40 for a year (I paid £31 biggrin.gif )

The 360 has far better online content but I'm hoping the PS3 one gets better as maybe then Microsoft will make Xbox Live free huh.gif

Yeah well I can dream can't I unsure.gif

360.

Well, i'm going to discard my earlier post and say that unless you have both, you can't comment.

It's obvious that people with a PS3 are going to say PS3, and people with an Xbox are going to say Xbox. Metalface always gives a good answer, so i think anyone wanting to know which to get, should just listen to him.
