Anyone pre ordered this, or downloaded the demo from Xbox Live?
Eurogamer ReviewFrom the sounds of it, this could be the first game to make the 360 the must have console (or have a high end PC).
Halo 3 might be in bother.

I downloaded the demo yesterday. Graphics are utterly amazing and the gameplay is excellent. I am really looking forward to this

That's pretty shocking considering official release date is tomorrow. Can't you cancel and pick it up somewhere tomorrow?
PS It's excellent.

I think it's because I rather stupidly went for the limited edition one with the metal case. I was thinking of cancelling it.
EDIT: Cancelled

That reviewer I think 'came' over this game.
I'm not really a game player (I have a PS2 and a Gamecube and don't play either) but that was one helluva review.

I retract that statement. I cancelled my Amazon order, and on my way to the Chili Peppers gig at Hampden, I nipped into G Force on Union St and picked it up.

In a shop, Blockbuster, £34.95 - you can get it marginally cheaper elsewhere, i think the cheapest i have seen is about £31-32.

Girlfriend has kicked me off it to watch River City
How far on are y'all? I'm past the fish market place and at some door where a guy was away to let me in then one of the crawling dudes from the very start came through the roof.
Really enjoying this so far though, apart from the fact that you can't die. I don't like that very much at all...

I'm on the 4th level. Getting very, very hard.
Dealt with every Little Sister so far, but went to harvest on one of them before realising there is an achievement for completing the game without harvesting a single 1.

I've had 4 and not harvested any. I thought the "good" approach might get me some decent plasmids.

I'm not that far on at the moment, just past the bit you need to get the telekenisis (sp?) plasmid to be able to shift the debris in front of the door.
I haven't came across any Little Sisters yet though. It's absolutely ace though.

Edit: The hacking minigames are addictive as f**k as well.

There's still lots of the game left to play from that point, StandFree.

Id take the pepsi challenge with it and peggle any day of the week. I think FPS games are just not my cup of tea anymore, i cant remember the last one i enjoyed properly, the first call of duty probably. All the pipe fitting mini games are tedious.

I rather cleverly managed to break my left wrist at fives last night, so I can't even fucking hold my 360 pad properly at the moment. And I was fucking loving this too.
I decided to treat myself to this yesterday. It's ace, not as good as Deus Ex though. Currently I've just photographed three spider splicers for Peachy and now I'm about to go into his fishery.

I actually dont think its that great, its pretty linear, and nothing we havent seen before. Im currently playing Stuntman, which is brilliant, very original game (not counting the original stuntman on the ps2).
I like it, I haven't really played many FPSs on consoles so it's probably the first one I've ever really enjoyed. I've also just created an awesome Bebo skin for it
Just completed it. Brilliant game but a bit short. Got 670 AP on my first playthrough so just got the rest to get now.
Just completed it. Very good game, went for the harvesting option. Got some pretty neat stuff towards the end.

I harvested one to see what it did then realised there was a 100G achievement for saving them all.
Apparantly there is 2 different endings to the game, depending on how many you've harvested.
I got the "good" ending for saving all the ones I found. I'm now playing through it again to get the achievements I missed out on. Just about to restore the forest.

Saddo alert!!!!!!!
I've just found out that a large part of the plot for this game is based on the book "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand.
I suppose that Andrew Ryan is a play on her name.
There you go.
On my second playthrough, I realised that it's not all it's cracked up to be at all.

I've had this game for ages an had only given it 5mins before getting hooked on Oblivion (which i've now completed) and GTA4 was getting a bit tedious, so I decided to give Bioshock a go and I'm getting right into it. Its very rare that i'll play a game right through to the end but I could see myself playing this a fair bit.
