Yes, the red card was for violent conduct, it mattered not about whether the actual incident which led to it was a foul or not.
If a player in an opposing team makes a great, clean tackle on one of my team mates, then I walk over and lamp him one, I don't avoid a red card because the initial challenge wasnae a foul.

It's not as if he hooked him. He kicked the IN PLAY ball at him. TBH he meant it, and he meant to cause him pain by hitting him in the napper, but players do that in the corner all the time. (by that I mean kick the ball at people)
I just think that the sending off is a bit weird
He was sent off for kicking the IN PLAY ball at someone.
