Have you got career details for Tam McNeill, who I reckon must have played around the late '70s/early '80s?

St.Johnstone and Morton may have been amongst his clubs.

Also,do you know of any players with the surname Gethin from the '60s or '70s?

Cheers.

1975-76: Morton (24+1/2) (7/2)

1977-78: Morton (12+9/1) (3/1)
1978-79: St. Johnstone (35+1/3) (4)
1979-80: St. Johnstone (31+1/3) (7)

1981-82: St. Johnstone (29+1/3) (3)
1982-83: St. Johnstone (17+1) (6)
1983-84: St. Johnstone (-)

And to your other point, the only Gethin to have played post-war was centre half Dave Gethin who was on St. Mirren's books from December 1960 to April 1962 after joining from Drumchapel Amateurs. He never made a first team appearance though.

This ties in nicely to confirm that the Dave Gethin in question was my teacher in secondary school.
I'd heard he was a centre half with St.Mirren, but this is the first confirmation I've ever had,and I didn't even know his Christian name until now.

Cheers.
