If you havent noticed already the Fifa 07 demo is on the xbox live marketplace now, im downloading it to give it a whirl, has anyone tried it yet to see the new physics engine in action?

Think I'm at about 70% now. It seems to be awfy popular.

I started downloading it ages ago but am only at 40% because i didn't know it stopped downloading while i was playing Pro Evo.


FilthyMack do you have Pro Evo 5 online? MarreZ is becoming too easy to beat, i need a new challenge. He only wins when i score OGs Only joking, but do you have it online? Fancy a game or two some time.

I do but I never play it online. I suppose I'd better get some practice in before October 27th though.

Played 4 games(well its only 1 half you can play) of FIFA now, piss easy and thats on world class. Drew the first game, then won 2-1, then 2-0 twice.
Crossing and heading are still shite, and slide tackles never seem to win you the ball.

Players look nothing like the real players.

The wee loading thing with Ronaldinho is quite good actually

PS The teams to choose from in the demo are Werder Bremen, Man U, Ac Milan, Barcelona, some Mexican team.

And I'll have 11 men behind the ball when this league starts to insure that.

Anyhoo, Had a few games of the demo now and I have to admit I'm impressed. Vast improvement on the World Cup game.

I just hope Konami get their finger out and get a demo on Marketplace to show them how it's really done.

I've been struggling to score on it.

The one thing it's still got which is a nice touch is the feature to send a player on a run.

I think its pretty good, the ball seems realistic at last, slide tackles are still a bit gash, but its definetly a vast improvement.

Its a shame they dumped the SPL from the game, i probably would have bought it to play St Mirren, but its only going to have 6 leagues now.

Another thing about it I hate (although its only a small thing) is the announcements all the time!!! I mean how many times do you go to the football and hear "Attention Steve: your wife has been in touch, she loves you very much and asked if you will marry her" ?

The SPL is in it, well is in the PS version so don't see why it will be any differet for Xbox

Theres only 6 leagues in the xbox 360 version, theres also only about 20 stadiums instead of 30 or whatever in the ps2 version.

That's weird. don't understadn why they've done that. You only need 1 stadium though, The Millennium Stadium is excellent in the game, so realistic.

They basically didnt have time to model it for the 360, since its all new graphics for the players and teams (for next gen), rather than just a port of old code like the ps2 and xbox versions.

Not really true, i was just reading up on something about this tonight. It's something to do with the contract between EA and Microsoft.
