Full Version: Injured Pollock Player
The Pie Shop > International & Other Football & Other Sports > Junior Football

Going to the Pollock Juniors Club before the Scotland match tomorrow, and there is a £1 entry fee for a young Pollock player who recently got an injury, which is a great idea.

Does anybody know what to the guy, and how bad his injury is ?

Cheers,

I may be wrong but I think Infowire guy said it was arthritis, and will never play again.

I wasn't aware of this £1 donation, but I'd have thought it more likely to be for 33-year-old keeper Ian Wilson who's been off his work sick (fire brigade) since a fatal car crash in December last year. He hopes to be back playing in the Spring, depending on medical advice. We're doing a benefit night for him on the 28th of this month, so it's topical.

But as Fudge rightly says, 25-year-old Paul McNeill (whose dad Franny is Lok vice president) was stuck down by a terrible bout of reactive arthritis in December '03. His mobility is very limited even now. It was utterly tragic as he had real talent.

Found out the collection was for Paul McNeill and raised almost £500! Well done the tartan Army!
