Full Version: Morton's Goal Against Brechin

I did not realise it at the match but having seen the video, the football leading up to Morton's goal against Brechin is as good as anything I've seen this season. Its available on the www.GMFC.net website.

It starts with a tackle by Weatherson and there are 12 touches/passes without a Brechin player touching the ball except for Nelson when he parried Weatherson's shot.

Alloa fans might be interested in the big part Stevenson played in the goal also as his 40 yard pass to Weatherson just took out the entire Brechin defence.

Theres a couple of decent longish passes straight to feet in it, both of which were clearly intended (as opposed to the long ball hit and hope types).

The cross-field pass was excellent, I think we're much better at those than most other teams in the division.

Its on the main home page at www.gmfc.net. Down at the bottom left in a box entitled Webcasts/Video Clips. There are two formats and the better one requires you to download a codec which is available on the site.

It'll be on the site for a fortnight, since we have no other games until the 14th.

Aye a good goal. Plus I only saw one person wearing a Rangers top! tongue.gif
Anyway he'd be just as well wearing a Morton top as they will at least win something this season. laugh.gif

Think he was joking.

Good stuff though.

Nice Camerawork too, better than Scotsport! laugh.gif

Great service for Morton to offer.

Just hope that we never bother with commentary like our friends from Firhill do.

If anyone can be arsed (and it's still in the archives) go and look at the commentary on the PTFC.net site from the 1st Thistle v Morton game last season.

Santala scores for them and I swear the commentator is doing a wee jig in his commentary position.
