Who is the true king of football simulations.

FIFA For me - I've tried Pro Evo and I don't like it
Dunc
Pro Evo, because of its adaptability.

I never played Pro Evo because I was too used to Fifa's controls. Downloaded Bought Pro Evo and changed the controls in about 2 mins though, and it was much better than Fifa.

However, Fifa 07 looks good.
Radford
Only played Pro Evo 5 and FIFA World Cup and Pro Evo pisses all over the FIFA game.
MTJ
I like Pro Evo more, but it doesn't mean I don't like Fifa.

I hate it when people totally slag off Fifa yet haven't probably played it since like 01 or 02.
Steve McQueen
Pro Evo's all tippy tappy football & not enough teams.

Tippy tappy? Is that good or bad? Pro Evo rocks. Easily the best football game there is.

Agreed wink.gif FIFA is alot better than Pro Evo.

Anyone who thinks Fifa is better than Pro Evo is a moron, its as simple as that, its like saying, who's better Ronaldhino or McGinty?

The only reason anyone could possibly like fifa better, is because its very easy, takes no skill to master, so if your rubbish at football games, you can look like a master at fifa.

As was also pointed out yesterday, its in the wrong forum.

Pro Evo by miles, but FIFA isn't as bad as people make out. In it's own right, it's a very good game, against Pro Evo it doesnt look so good.
Kylesons
Pro evo by far but i also get the fifas and i like them

I actually dont think either are a proper refelection of the game. Too many passes to get in a goalscoring position.

The main problem with Pro Evo isnt the licenses, it that there arent enough teams.

Theres plenty teams, theres about 100, how many do you need?

I know technically there is no right or wrong answer, that if someone prefers Fifa, then its their choice, and usually you respect peoples choice, but when they are so obviously wrong, then its hard to let them.

Fifa is a terrible game, even if there was no pro evo, it still wouldnt be the best football game around.

Pro Evo for me.

I last bought FIFA in 2004 and Pro Evo wipes the floor with it. Tis the best representation of "real" football I've ever played.

FIFA 2001 and 2002 are better than the last few FIFA's. FIFA has got worse over the years. It used to be the best game and now there are a few better than it. Pro Evo is in a different league than FIFA.

Pro Evo of course, in fact I actually HATE Fifa, it's so bad.

Pro evo, i wouldn't waste my time playing one of the other inferior games

Pro Evo, easily. Absolutely no contest.

FIFA has been sh!te since the 99 version (the last playable one).

Tried Pro Evo 4 after getting it for a tenner and was really impressed.
Will I enjoy Pro Evo 5 as much? unsure.gif

You see I don't agree with that, or at least on the PC version I don't.

The main difference between 4 and 5 is that the first touch and the shot accuracy has a touch of randomness to it. This means you can have Rooney and Ronaldihno as your front line but they can still take a bad touch. For me this is more realistic and adds more to the game. In v4 you were pretty much certain that the ball was going where you expected.

Pro Evo 5 is probably the best game ever.

I dont see how you can enjoy playing football with teams like London North etc.

There are numerous patches you can apply for the PC version. They're not official patches mind, but they will add loads of things. such things as new stadiums, strips, balls, boots, crowd noises, updates to players and of course have all the most recent teams and their formations.

We are discussing which is the better game, rather than which has paid the most for an official license. wink.gif

Who cares what the teams are called? Its no surprise that you prefer Fifa being an old firm fan, picking fifa due to licences is the equivelant of glory hunting.

If it was a case of Fifa being only slightly worse than Pro Evo i could see your point, but fifa is about a 5/10 in the playability stakes when PES is 10/10.

Your entitled to your opinion of course, but your opinion is horribly wrong.

That, my friend, is going right into my sig!

Feel free to pass any comments on FIFA straight to me. My good friend works for EA and is in the business of selling the titles to the gaming and mobile phone industries. I know he would love constructive feedback to take to his meetings with the development teams. It makes selling the games a lot easier if they can get them right.

On the plus side, I get shed loads of free games smile.gif Therefore it's FIFA for me all the way (what hand-shandy needs more than one football game for their console laugh.gif ) It's also handy when EA release the latest Sims2 add-on that my wife must have rolleyes.gif

FilthyMack
I love the argument that most Pro Evo fans probably haven't played FIFA for about 5 years. I hadn't played it for about 2 or 3 until I bought the World Cup game for the 360. What was so laughable was the way that EA are so blatantly trying to take the FIFA model closer to Pro Evo, and still producing a far less playable game.

All glitz and glamour but it really struggles badly (still) in the defending department. In Pro Evo defending is an art (ay MarreZ wink.gif )

Pro Evo = Cannavaro
FIFA = Paul Ritchie

Fifa 07 is good, definitely the best Fifa for years but it's not that realistic, for example in 3 games yesterday I managed to score 6 30+yard goals. I will be buying Fifa this year though (first time since 2003) as it is a massive improvment from both Fifa 06 and World Cup.
