Full Version: Sons Pump East Fife 0-1
The Pie Shop > SPL and SFL Football > 3rd Division General Chatter
rocksolid
As it says on the tin. East Fife were solid enough at the back, but bloody hell, they were lucky to win that one. Second half was absolute one-way traffic from us.

Thing was for us, it took us 45 minutes to realise that high balls weren't going to work against the tanks they had at central defence, and when chances came, we couldn't take them. Dobbie continues to infuriate - another inconsistent performance from him. Still, nothing like as bad as other defeats this season and still optimistic ahead of the Montrose game.

BTW, visiting fans - NEVER eat anything out of the New Bayview tea bar. The Cola I had tasted more like blackcurrant juice with about a gallon more water, and there was enough grease in the sausage roll to line Wayne Rooney's veins. Boggin'.

EDIT: Feel free to merge, mods.
The Other Chairman
Elementary. You lost that game because you could not score a goal. You will probably find that if you continue not scoring goals you will lose more games.
Overall I thought you played the better football and had probably 65% possession but your free kicks and most crosses were dismal.
Difficult to say about the defence. I think that if they are put under more sustained pressure they will struggle.
From EF's point of view we played some good football in spurts and did what was beyond you - we scored a goal. Our defence held out strongly under a lot of second half pressure and we managed a few breakaways that had your defence struggling.
A mention for John Dodds - he has been struggling recently but despite a few frights early on had several excellent saves.
