Just wondering who he played for before signing for Raith?

Also according to the following link (Pretty sure it's not correct) but say's he signed for Rangers, Dundee United & Raith on the 01-08 and left on the 31-05 but I assume it's not correct.

He played for St Johnstone, his hometown club, too for a couple of seasons in the early nineties. Well past his best by that time though.

I thought he joined Raith after being bumped as player manager at Brechin, I also thought he was at Iswich for a good few years.
