Is there a bus goin to Peterhead?

If no, how can people get there and back, is there public buses or trains?

Thanks
Peterhead Dave
There's no train station in Peterhead, but there is a bus every half hour from Aberdeen, which takes around an hour. Going back, I think the buses are hourly, but if you're quick, you can catch the bus which leaves at 5...Or just stay in our social club for a while after the match wink.gif

Aberdeen is the closest train station wink.gif hence what Dave was saying. You can get the train to Aberdeen then a bus from there to Peterhead. If you get a public bus all the way through, then it is a bus to Aberdeen then the same bus to Peterhead. Bus and train stations are right next to eachother. It is number 260 and 263 bluebird buses smile.gif

Why the shite in 2006 does a large centre of population like Peehead not have a train station...crikey...did they run out of track at Aberdeen huh.gif

There used to be a train station to Peterhead, but it was closed in the 60s or something like that (probably due to no need for it). The difference between that line and lines to other similar areas is probably that there is no big city close by that needs a train from Aberdeen to get there. The buses are every 30 minutes so there is no need for trains.

Dr Beeching to blame for that one.

I believe reopening a train line to Peterhead is high on the agenda, along with dualling the A90 between Aberdeen and Peterhead...

No doubt some bright spark will decide to do both as the last drop of oil is pumped out of the North Sea, and Peterhead is no longer required as a service centre for the industry rolleyes.gif

Think there's a bus going up check with Big Loon Kev.

Course whether Forfar have enough players to actually field a team is another matter entirely. ohmy.gif

Big Kev's bus is the supporters bus!!

Damn I only have my name down for it because I assumed with our injuries it was the team bus!!

Does this mean I won't be partnering George Shaw upfront?

Ach well, a few pints in the social club and a place on the bench will make up for it

Well against Morton our subs bench was Wood (subby goalie), Fraser (striker), Tosh (striker and injured and had to come on as centre half), and George Shaw (F*ck knows what!). That was it, we could only muster 4 substitutes and we then had two more injuries during the match. Our defence was a midfielder, a defender, as striker and a winger to finish the game.

Despite that they actually did not bad.

So who knows? I'd make us favourites!!! tongue.gif
