BOOB Stranraer Loyal!!!!!!!
the diffence between today and lastt week is day and night, we were alot better today probbaly the best peformance this season.

black did well in goals and should start from now on. defebce looked alot more solid even with lee sharp at centre half ohmy.gif would still drop burns into midfeild and put nicholas up front. He took his goal well but is a bit inafective on the wing

crilly was sent off again and will now probaly get a big ban needs to calm things down a bit

things looking beter but we need to start being more consistint

Good performance today.

Quality goal. Some nice passing by Crilly and Moore to set up Nicholas who finished it nicely.

I've got no complaints about the red card for Crilly. Both bookings for me and indeed his first one could easily have been red anyway. Shame because he was excellent today and bossed the midfield.

No failures for the blues today but credit at last to the back 4 of McKinstry,Snowdon, Sharp and McAlpine who looked like a unit today.

Thought we were easily the better side and fully deserved the win against a side who were disappointing and didnt really threaten until the final 10 minutes.

Should keep the Gerry out brigade quiet for a couple of weeks.

great game the day. both sides wanting to play good football. my man of the math would have gone to Joe McAlpine even tho not fully fit n slightly over weight he was excelant. Mic Moore played his useal battling way but he has to learn to keep his mouth shut. the captain for me should be David Hamilton head and shoulders above most players in this division. Black in goals lukd far more confident than morrison has the whole season. Well done blue keep them kind of performances up am we will b up there at the end of the season

Well today was a big let down - Cowden never turned up and in the first half could hardly pass the ball. Second half we improved but still never looked as if we could snatch a point. Was good to see Gomis coming on and he looked quite good when he had the ball.

Stranraer never really impressed me - that tells you a lot about our performance - and Crilly was rightfully sent off. He had been chatting to the ref a lot during the game so I wasnt suprised. The ref pissed the Cowden fans off by giving a goal kick to Stranraer when clearly Moore headed it out! Ref wasnt impressive.

Not happy!

Another reality check for us. Sounds as if Stranraer well deserved their victory - well done. We're in for a tougher spell now, but that's not a surprise. We've a good team and we'll hold our own against most sides in the league; the expectations created by the blistering start to the season were a bit unreal, but it's great to have these points on the board. This could be a very unpredictable league.

We were never going to keep the blistering start up. Today was the first time we have failed to score in a league game for 17 games sad.gif (the last being when we lost a Berwick in March which was also the last time we lost away from home in the league.
Morton are now pulling away from the main pack and should win the league given their squad. IMO on their day the other 9 are capable of beating each other.
As this is our 1st season in this division survival is the main aim as you say the early door points could be vital come the end of the season.
On the plus side for us today it was good to see Wee Morgan back on the park smile.gif

Yea, I was expecting this, eventually. Now we have played everyone and we are getting into the meat of the season. Teams have seen us play and know what is coming. I still think it will be nice if we can get a playoff berth come the end of the season but there will need to be be some hard graft in the next few weeks. Goals seem to have dried up but we had a similar spell last year. Nobody seems to have gubbed us badly and I agree with earlier posters - bar Morton who I suspect will have to lose the championship, the other teams in the Division can take points off each other. Having said that both Stenny and Berwick respectively led the 3rd Div 11 points clear at Xmas and February each. Nil desperandum. Morton will get beat eventually and it will be up to the rest of us to put together a decnt run. Stirling seem to be getting the points despite not playing particularly well and it should be a tight game at the Fife Maracana next week. Not many points between second and seventh. Quite interesting, really.

A very poor performance by us today. Ellis hit the bar in the 1st half, we could have got a penalty when bucks was fouled plus a couple half chances which went well over the bar. 2nd half was slightly better when Gomis came on. Our passing as better however we never really had any great chances. Baxter almost burst the net in the last few mins but their keeper saved well.

Disappointing that we couldn't break 10 men for the second week in a row sad.gif

Should be interesting next week, Albion are on fire. Hopefully we'll go back to underdogs instead of favourites tongue.gif
