Anyone else installed this?

Wireless hub installed OK, software seemed to install OK initially but it didn't install the AV/firewall software. I had to download it from the BT website and wait about half an hour for the install to complete (while my PC was on a live broadband connnection with no protection)

Once this eventually finished, I tried to go back on-line, but the BT broadband browser no longer automatically fires up the wi-fi connection. I have to do this from a taskbar icon.

And according to a speed-test website, I'm getting 1.5mb/s when BT told me I should get 6Mb/s

All in all I'm not impressed.

Dont know about the first two.

On the speed issue, ADSL max actually takes about 2 weeks to "stabilise" to a permanent speed. The speed can fluctuate quite a bit in this time as it tries to establish the fastest, stable speed.

Not sure what you mean by "BT told you" but there are no guarantees on what speed you will get until the install is actually done. There are just too many factors to be able to tell in advance.

Keep checking you're speed every day or so until you get a consistent reading - then you'll have a better idea of speed.

Why bother with their add on software? Just set up your connection manually. I've got it and it works fine. You know about configuring your Rounter properly for games and other applications?
