Does anybody play this game? I have just came across and i really enjoy it!!! Its a career game where you start off as a 16 year old and you need to train to get better, but you can also do a bit of horse betting visit the casino, get drunk, take drugs and check into re-hab.

I would advise everybody to try the trial version, you may just get addicted!!! download it here

The principals good but the games a bit dull.

I played it hardcore for around two weeks and now have no inclination ever to play it again. Once you figure out the AI it's far too easy, even on the hardest mode (just like Sensible Soccer in that respect.)

If a developer would spend a bit of time and money on a Libero Grande type game of this nature I reckon they could make a killing. There's already a Japanese game called Love Football on the 360 which looks pish, just an updated Libero Grande really. A decent game engine with an enhanced career element on New Star Soccer's could find a niche market though.

Life sims of this nature are extremely popular, especially in Japan (the dating sim subgenre is unspeakably massive), I agree, done correctly it would do very well.

The life aspects of New Star Soccer are half-assed, though. For one thing it's impossible to make a long term loss on horses, the alcohol part is laughable, your wife can easily be bought off with trinkets that cost well under half your weekly salary, all manner of other stupidities. A great idea, poorly executed.

That said I loved it when I was into it, I won the CHampions League with Montpellier and got World Player of the Year at 18 smile.gif
