Who's flying straight there, who's taking the train, how much was yer flights and what not and is anyone getting the ferry from Istanbul to Odessa then heading north? And is emdy going to the Crimea to see where Florence strutted her funky candlelit stuff?

Tried to get on the Passport Travel charters but both are full

Flying to Kiev via the Dam on Tuesday 10th Oct, staying til Thursday 12th then train to Lviv for 2nights there, then train to Warsaw for the last night there, flying back to Edinburgh on Sunday 15th via the Dam again...it's times like these Im glad I was born with 2 livers...

Odessa is great!!! Stopped there on the way to Moldova 2 years ago...enjoy the Palladium nightclub...

If you're going to spend a night in Lviv it's a lovely city.

Try the George Hotel. Different class and surprisingly cheap.

Also try millenium nightclub, most beautiful girls in the world.

Got any tips for a good night out in Kiev doulikefish?

I always do a bit of research for good pubs/clubs etc but midweek games are a pain in the bum.

There aren't all that many cities where you get decent nightlife on a Monday and Tuesday. Normally have to stay till the weekend for the place to hot up but we are only booked Monday to Thursday this time.

Who else booked with ye? That makes it "the magnificent 7" Lochgelly TA

As I said though - on Mondays and Tuesdays its sometimes difficult to find somewhere with a bit of life off the beaten track. I've never been to Kiev so I've no idea which neighbourhoods to try out.

Unfortunately we've also got a few guys with us this time who don't travel very often and whose idea of a good night out is still getting hammered with 300 other Scots in an Irish pub.

If I can find a good cheap place full of locals (preferably women obviously) it will hopefully persuade the boys of the error in their ways and in future they will stop heading for the first place called The Dubliner or The Shamrock.
