That sounds about right, I think it was 89-90 after Jim Jeffries took over and we still finished third from bottom.

In 1988-89 Berwick were beaten by Montrose 2-1 at Links Park on December 10th 1988 but thereafter didn't lose a game for as said 21 games. The 22nd game was a 2-1 defeat at Albion Rovers on the last day, and Berwick finished 13th out of 14.

I take it many of the games were drawn?

Berwick only had 3pts when Jeffries took over, and if I remember rightly, we were well adrift at th bottom.

Think there was a lot of draws, and I remember going to Coatbridge to see us get beaten by Albion. (Did they go up that year??)

Albion Rovers won the league with 50 points from 39 games. In today's money that'd have been 71 points. Berwick finished on 33 points (43 if 3pts per win) and Stenhousemuir 29. Overall Berwick drew 13 games, though it was Queen's Park who were the draw specialists of the Second Division, drawing 18 out of 39. In the Berwick unbeaten run it went as follows:

Stenhousemuir (H) 1-0
Cowdenbeath (A) 3-3
Brechin City (H) 4-4
Stirling Albion (H) 0-0
Arbroath (A) 2-1
Alloa (H) 1-1
East Fife (A) 2-2
Albion Rovers (H) 2-1
Stirling Albion (H) 2-2
Arbroath (A) 3-0
East Stirling (H) 2-0
Dumbarton (A) 2-2
Stenhousemuir (A) 0-0
Alloa (H) 1-0
Stranraer (A) 2-1
Queen's Park (H) 1-1
Dumbarton (A) 4-0
Cowdenbeath (H) 0-0
Brechin City (A) 2-0
East Fife (A) 1-1
Montrose (H) 1-1

The season hadn't started so well, losing the first 7 games, winning one, then losing 8 out of the next 9, drawing one in the middle.
