There is group of us hoping to take in this game in June, however I can't see any Ferries scheduled to go for around that time. I was pretty sure that you used to be able to sail from Aberdeen directly to the Faroes, but can't seem to find any info.

In fact I remember speaking to Faroese fans the last time the home game was played at Pittodrie, and they had sailed in for the game. Can anyone help at all? Do you know the name of Ferry companies I can contact directly?

Smyril Line goes from Embra to the Faroes, according to Findarticles....

I believe it is Smyril Line actually from Aberdeen but the schedule would mean going for a week which would either result in you topping yourself through boredom or going bankrupt.

There are flights from Copenhagen (not cheap) and will be scheduled flights from Aberdeen/London availble nearer the time.

Some TA clubs are looking into charter flights and the last time Passport Travel did a day trip £330 circa. The Faroes tourist board also provided a two-night package as well.


In summary:

It's a kunt of a place to get to.
It's very expensive.
There's not very much there.

If I miss any games next year - I'll be missing this one!

Atlantic Airways fly from copenhagen 3 times a day, was sure the last time i checked that it was only £50 return?

Im already booked for this game...flying from edinburgh to Copenhagen with BMIBaby for £183 return, then with the mob craigcouper mentioned above...but it aint £50...£299 return from Copenhagen to Torshaven...thats flying out on the Tuesday and back on the Thursday... The prices will only get higher the closer it gets... So Im glad ive booked...

I was searching for flights about a month ago because i really fancied this one and the flights were £50 each way (apologise for that wee mistake) so they have obviously more than doubled now.
