There were two Neil Murrays in Scottish football, one (aged 33) played with Rangers, Sion, Dundee United, Mainz, Grimsby Town, Falkirk and Ayr United. The other (aged 34) was a wee bit less glamourous and his career stopped by Partizan Amateurs, East Stirling, Benburb, Largs Thistle and Johnstone Burgh.

No idea where either is now! Both seemed to quit football around 2003.

Neil Murray (Rangers etc) was an accountant and Rangers let him sit his CA exams. I know he talked about going back into the profession after he chucked playing.

Don`t think his heart was truly in football especially when he dropped down the leagues. A good guy though.

Neil Murray stopped playing football just as soon as he joined Ayr.

Easily one of the laziest, most ineffective midfielders I've ever seen in an Ayr shirt, and I include David Dudd in that generalisation.

yep

Lots of players lose any ability they may have has as soon as they pull an Ayr shirt on tongue.gif

BTW, where do Partizan Amateurs play? (Town, that is... league too, at that.) That's a superb name.

Linwood I think. That would make sense looking at his other clubs. I think they play Renfrewshire U21s.
