Apparently clyde had a player called Ivan Trickovski in their ranks no so long ago,

Nowadays, He's a macedonian youth international and striker for Vardar Skopje commonly known as Vardar they get into the euro qualifiers every so often but seldom get by them.

No, his name was Ivan Tosuckucockov

For what it's worth, I've never heard of this boy being on Clyde's books - wouldn't have thought he'd have got a work permit anyway?

If anything, he might have turned up as a trialist at Celtic, Clyde and Cork. A teenager from outwith the EU who isn;t a full internationalist can't, without an EU passport, play in Scotland. As far as I know!

He was playing with clyde at youth level I'm sure perhaps he was a naturalised scot or that was his 2nd nationality so he wouldn't need a permit.

We had a bulgarian with us on a similar thing. If you have a family member working over here, you can also work here on a permit. His parents may have got a job or something like that. unsure.gif

The Bulgar is still in Scotland, he plays for Banchory St. Ternan.
Peterhead Dave
Ivan Petkova.

The story behind him not needing a work permit was that his mother got a job as a nurse in Aberdeen and as he was dependant on her, he was able to secure work on her permit rather than having to get one of his own.

On a similar(ish) note, do you happen to know if Lamine Camara is still in the country, Jamie? He may be playing junior somewhere.

As far as I can see, Camara is playing in the bowels of French football at US Saint-Georges-les-Ancizes.

Trickovski was recently player of the year and top scorer in Macedonia with Rabnicki Kometal and played against Bolton in Europe last year.

He now plays for Serbian cracks Red Star Belgrade and is in the full international team (albeit he withdrew through injury).

Did he really used to play for Clyde?
