My computer is only 6 or 7 months old, with 1GB RAM.

When it first came, it was speedy as f'ck, and would save an FM game in just a few seconds, but now its really slow sad.gif

My HD was crammed with shite, but I deleted a lot of it, and i've got 78% free space, but its still slow.

I've got 3290 songs on the PC, and I was wondering if that might have anything to do with it?

Is there a program about that'll speed me up, and get FM saving/loading faster, etc.?

Any ideas?

Tuneup Utilities

Download the free trial version. It checks what programs are running at start up (and hence might be slowing it down) and there are various other things for cleaning the shite off your PC. Very useful and I think the trial lasts for 30 days.

Dunc - try running disk defragmenter.

Highly recommend everyone does this at least once a fortnight, if possible get a copy of diskeeper pro as the basic windows defrag tool is pants in comparison.

I mind Dave saying that due to the way that Windows Xp organises it's HD - something to do with the file system - defragging has little effect.

Of course if you deleted (or backed up) your huge porn collection it might free up some hard disk space whistling.gif
