Play.com are taking pre-orders for the PS3. 60GB HD version with three games for £550! Personally I'm going to wait and get a Wii and wait and see if the price comes down. Having a 360 my only reason for buying a PS3 would be the Blu-Ray player!

As much as I want a PS3, and I know it probably costs a lot to put together, Sony are pricing themselves out of the market.

its just far too much money that sony are asking for it. of course once the hype machine starts then alot of people will probably want one but with the nintendo wii coming out before hand at probably £125 and the predicted price drop for the 360 in october sony will have to get it right or lose out. thing is as well that microsoft are bringing out a usb hd-dvd drive as well for christmas.
... and even if you pre-order one you're not guaranteed to get it before Christmas 
Play cocked up the xbox 360 pre orders, so id stay clear from them, wait for www.gameplay.com to do theirs, should get one then.

I will get one eventually, but will definately wait for the price to drop.
I did buy a DS Lite yesterday though, I would go as far as to say it's probably the best gaming experince I've ever had!
The combination of using the controls and the touch screen is incredible. I will definately get a Wii at Xmas time when it's out.

In Comet today they have a load of DS games in the bargain basement andy, mario 64, advance wars DS (the best game for it) ping pals are the best on offer, from £4.99 - £12.99.

I was actually looking for advance wars yesterday and couldn't find it (my search though was limited to Virgin as I was heading to watch the England game!) so went for Metroid Prime Hunters. I might have a look in Comet then! Cheers!

Also, Play.com have a summer sale on, theres quite a few cheap DS games in there too
yip sold my psp on ebay and bought a japanese ds lite from lik-sang.com. fantastic little machine if i can get on it. my other half is playing nintendogs and I can't get near it
