At the minute I have Outlook set up so that me and Jude share the same profile with two seperate mailboxes in Outlook which works fine, except that I continually forget to change the account when I'm sending emails (hence they go through Jude's account instead of mine)

Is there a way to set Outlook so when I click 'Send' it asks what account I should send it through?

I know I could just try and train myself to remember to select my name from the Accounts option or split the mailboxes into two seperate folders but I wondered if there is a quick fix.

Cheers

Liam

PS. I know Outlook is Microsoft and Microsoft is bad but I use Outlook every day at work and it's got far more tools than Thunderbird!

Are you using Outlook or Outlook express?

Reading again, I'm assume you're using Outlook.

Yes you can in Outlook, it's quite complicated, why don't you log-in as different users in XP then set up different e-mail accounts.

I'd agree with Olaf here, much easier to set the Missus up with a different XP log-in. That way she can't accidentally find out about your Nightshift surfing !! wink.gif

I thought about setting up two XP log-ins, but we use the PC interchangeably and it's a pain in the arse changing log-on every time I want to check my emails.

I could just set up two mailboxes profiles in Outlook so it asks which profile to load when starting but we share the Calendar, hence why I wanted to kept the mailboxes within the same profile.

In Outlook Express, when you click "Create New Mail", and it brings up the new email, just go to where it says "From" and there should be a drop down menu to choose which address you want to send it from.

Im pretty sure Outlook is the same.

While we are on this subject. I accidentally downgraded my Outlook to 2002 when I was downloading Microsoft Activesync...So I pretty much fucked it up 'cause we can't receive E-mail.

Help Much Appreciated

In an attempt to take your good advice on the new User for XP for my girlfriend (nothing to do with my late night pursuits, you understand) I gave it a go and it all looks good, she's even got her own pretty wee face as her picture.

However, when I tried to clear up the desktop for her and put things on it that were relevant for her, it would not let me delete desktop shortcuts. I made her a full administrator too but it still said she had no rights to delete shortcuts.

Any ideas?

Also, do I really need to set up the internet connection all over again for her? It appears as if there is no internet connection on the PC when she is logged in.

Thanks guys/girls.

Be carefull.

You can access anyone's account on your computer through your own via the control panel.

If you pretend you want to change the password it lets you do it without asking for the existing one and piff puff poof.\

you're in
