Originally planned for City but the tickets were proving to be a pain to get so was going to go to macclesfield as backup. Would still go in the future. Fair enough. I used to live in a village just outside Macclesfield and regularly saw the ground on passing......never went to a game though regrettably!

Cheers. Thanks for confirming that. Being doing a bit more research and found the info for Bochum and Fortuna. Not that I'm going to a game there bit noticed Koln is in a slightly different rail system. Dusseldorf is the VRR area and Koln is VSR area. I was going to get the €68 weekly ticket. But then noticed that It wouldn't cover Koln. Hoping tickets for both games go on sale next week.

7-2
Chester can be an interesting experience. Not just for parking and walking into another country to see the game but also, depending on the temperature and which way the wind's blowing, you can watch the whole game whilst enjoying the aroma from the nearby sewage works. Living in Wales and having the smell of English shit wafted over to you must do wonders for cross border relationships.

Can't say I noticed the smell the howling wind, sleet and snow took my mind off it Been to Chester a few times used to go and watch Liverpool Reserves there when Houllier was at the club. In fact the 23's have a few there coming up. -

Covered terrace where I took that photo. Great support from South Shields made a good bit of noise. 15 hours ago, highlandcowden said: what was the third game? Finished up at Liverpool v Chelsea. Smurph
Went to MVV Maastricht v Jong Ajax on Friday. They lost 4-0. It was freezing cold and it was €4 a beer (well, two tokens) but I did get to smoke a joint in the stadium because it was so empty, and get a killer McDo afterwards with crispy shrimp, McKroket and Chocomel. On 11/13/2017 at 00:22, qpsnapper said: Was in Maastricht in September for the weekend, unfortunately MVV had played on the Friday night, you're only a few miles from Liege as well if Standard are at home? They were but I couldn't get tickets. You had to be a member and there were 'safety concerns' and ceased allowing new members. Thought about Aachen but couldn't get a direct train despite them being about 6cm from each other. Edited December 7, 2017 by Smurph forgot I had a delicious Chocomel

Sergeant Wilson
I was in The Three Pigeons pub about 250 yards from The Shay, I could see the lights on and the pub was full of supporters from both sides. Atmosphere building for an FA Vase tie between two big non league teams, Halifax and Macclesfield. Game got called off just before kick off!
