Allan Jacobsen
Someone needs to tell McGuigan to stop rushing his kicks.

Allan Jacobsen
I'm done. An utterly pathetic second half performance so far.
GordonS
Feels like the grown-ups have arrived. At this level of rugby, talent and potential aren't enough.

Jaggy Snake
That was better but so many of our players still look like they get a rush of blood to the head every time they get the ball.
Detournement
If Glasgow don't sign a 10 they'd be as well not turning up next season.

The younger guys look jittery under this pressure. It's a bit like the Italy game in Rome in the spring - it was the experienced heads of Laidlaw, Barclay, Jonny Gray etc that wrangled the match our way. In previous seasons we'd have lost that. But we don't have those players this time.
ajwffc
A well worked try now time for the conversion to win it
GordonS
Some ill-mannered booing there. Well done USA, deserved. They're a good side and could go on from here.
Jaggy Snake
To be fair, USA deserved that more than us. We did nothing in the second half until the last 10 minutes or so. Experience for some of the younger guys but very few good performances there.
Allan Jacobsen
Cannot say that any of the fringe players have made a strong case for future inclusion in squads.
Guest Bob Mahelp
Aaaaaaaaaaagh. As with any team Toony has ever been involved with, it's a step and a half forwards, one step back. We just have to accept that's how it will be. A Scotland 'C' team, but a well deserved win for an improving USA side. I was a wee bit worried when I saw the starting 15 that we had slightly underestimated the Yanks, and so it proved. The first 20 minutes after half-time were a disaster...we lost all focus, looked complacent, made too many mistakes and allowed them to over-power us. We need to put in a performance next week, and I trust that we'll put out a more experienced, balanced and focused side.
DeeTillEhDeh
Scotland were absolutely shocking in that second half.
honestly united
Dreadful 30 minutes at the start of the 2nd half. We were 2 busy trying to keep Hastings out of the way that McGinty ripped us a part and looked the best player on the park as he was getting to much space. Toony definateley underestimating US with his selection, as they were head and shoulders better than Canada last week. Having to bring Brown on the back row for example as only Denton as a replacement wasn't great. Hard to pinpoint the bad & good performances as the mistakes came from everyone in that 2nd half, even Hogg when he ran into Fagerson. Kinghorn has played himself into a squad place (where to play him though!) Turner is getting better, Horne jr was good also, Grigg had a few good runs, but overall its a good workout given 7 players their first starts, and probably the majority of the first choice players are not on the tour

Northsea80
Warriors supported group XVI Warrior has a meeting this week with Glasgow and the SRU regarding the concerns over ticket pricing and the whole silver Saturday/Glasgow losing a home game issue, and the general feeling that they are taking the fans for granted. The twitter page for XVI Warrior also has an e-mail from the club regarding a lot of the complaints following the release of season ticket and fixture details.
come on shire
That USA game was disappointing but starting to come round to the idea that it was USA's strongest team and a Scotland "experimental" XV. For morale, we really need to bounce back vs Argentina on Sat night though. Domestically, it's European draw day at 2pm I believe. Challenge Cup followed by Champions Cup. There's one delightful scenario where Glasgow could draw Newcastle (down and back in a day) and also Bath (spa town to treat the gf). It would, however, also mean getting the French champs, Castres. I'd fancy our chances vs Castres than vs Sarries though tbh... Edited June 20, 2018 by come on shire
