However, the TV deal guarantees at least nine Indian games must be played at the next two World Cups. The idea to reduce the number of teams wasn't even put to any sort of vote. Indian TV money > democracy/the future of the game. It's the same short-sightedness that has seen cricket not really bother trying to get in the Olympics, something that would do more to spread the game than anything else. If anything, the focus should be on improving the protection that the helmet offers. The worry is that seemingly the modified helmets in use now still dont offer the required protection. Don't think the hughes qc comes out of this at all well (is he trying to pave way for a civil case?). Seems to have put the hughes family through unnecessary pain by insinuating this wasnt an accident which is pretty grubby. Most of the questions being asked are obligatory. They have to check every single factor into the incident, even if those factors are patently absurd. Obviously what happened was a tragedy that no-one wanted but if the alleged sledging did occur it was pretty tasteless. The delivery that did for moeen was a corker. At 21-3 I'm sure England would have bitten your hand off for that total.
