The pleasing aspect of England playing an appalling side will be they convince themselves they are damn good and capable of doing far better than they originally thought. They then meet a better side later in the tournament, write their opponents off before the match, and lose. [emoji14]

Or, as I have a nagging fear, they may turn out to be pretty decent and win the tournament.....

That boi's seen what's coming, faked an injury imo.

That's what the missus just said.

He doesn't fancy ending his career on the back of the absolute horsing that's coming and he's passed the poisoned chalice to his mate.

What's the point in letting countries like Tunisia and Saudi Arabia into the world cup?

48 teams incoming in 8 years

Looking forward to dross like Liberia and  Fiji rekindling their historical enemyship.

This keeper has money on England. Get Faarooq on. Get him delivering a clothesline from hell.

It was Bradshaw who delivered that. Farooq had The Dominator

There's actually plenty of self deprecating humour in stuff like that.  There was in the BBC's intro too.

It's not their fault that so many on here are determined not to recognise that aspect.

Do you think it would be different up here if Scotland were playing?

Do you think “Watch Scotland live” would be the main headline on the front page of the BBC News website?
