Popular opinions

Recommended Posts

Unpopular opinions get all the publicity but what about their nicer, more reliable cousin, popular opinions?  Sometimes the wisdom of crowds is right and things that most people think are spot on.

Here are some of my popular opinions

Bacon is delicious.

Oasis were the best Britpop band in the 1994-1996 period.

Stephen King writes enjoyable books.

Peter Kay is very funny.

England getting pumped out of World Cups and The Euros brings a huge sense of relief.

+ 1. I can never really enjoy tournaments until they're out.

No it’s not and you obviously haven’t watched enough YouTube documentaries on the subject to comment.

Step away from the moronic YouTube vids throbber. They’ll rot your brain even more.

It's been great since the one in South Africa; they've never even looked remotely capable of winning anything.

I'd say tournaments are more enjoyable when they don't qualify, but then I remembered the commentary for the '94 World Cup. "England, of course, aren't here, but you have to wonder why when you look at the quality of these teams"..."the lad on the ball, of course, once knew someone whose brother was almost approached for a two-week trial at Rochdale"...every fucking game
